lululemon took up residency at seven houses in seven cities for seven months. November 2016’s residency was held at the Zuma Sanctuary in Malibu, CA, where lululemon’s ambassadors, partners, and friends gathered for a month of sweat, surf and soul-searching in an environment created to catalyze personal and collective growth.
Through grassroots community marketing efforts leading up to the opening of our first local store in Malibu Country Mart, directly next to lululemon, Saje was invited to co-create an engaging evening experience for 30 VIP guests, incorporating education on essential oils, our product, and our brand. Taking inspiration from our beautiful surroundings in the Californian desert, we posed the question “what lights you up?” and invited our guests to enjoy an essential oils seminar during cocktail hour featuring custom, cold-pressed agua fresca cocktails, followed by a mezze feast, culminating in a sunset guided meditation on joy, complete with hands-on tribal marking by Amir Magal.

Saje team members helped guests remedy up upon arrival with hands on aromatherapy treatments.
Our Agua Fresca Cocktail Oasis, created in partnership with Juice Served Here, invited guests to pair bespoke blends of refreshing cold pressed juices with their choice of tequila, mezcal, or cachaca.
Spatial design was executed jointly by production firm Birds of a Feather and Saje Natural Wellness, featuring a custom built modular pallet lounge.
Trish Lackey, Saje's National Training Manager, delivered an introductory essential oils seminar.
Guests sat down to a plant-based mezze inspired by the dining and hospitality traditions of bedouin tribes.
As the sun set in Malibu and skies darkened, we invited our guests to a meditation on inner light and joy.
While guests ruminated on what lights them up, they received individualized tribal markings by Amir Magal that reflected their inner illumination.
